SCPA-EN-00295 "The Quantum Crypt"
SCPA-EN-00295 Report
Item #: SCPA-EN-00295
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCPA-EN-00295 is to be contained in a standard safe-class containment locker at Site-███. The locker should have a passcode lock with a minimum length of 12 characters and should only be accessible to Level 2 personnel or higher. Any experiments involving SCPA-EN-00295 must be approved by at least one Level 3 personnel.
Description:
SCPA-EN-00295 is a small device resembling a USB drive. The device has no visible branding or markings but is generally made of a black metal material. The device can only be opened by only one individual at a time, who will be identified as SCPA-EN-00295-1.
When SCPA-EN-00295 is opened by SCPA-EN-00295-1, it will display a blank interface on any nearby electronic screen. Inputting textual information into the interface with SCPA-EN-00295-1 causes the information to be encrypted using an unknown encryption method. The information can only be decrypted by SCPA-EN-00295-1, who must input a complex password (minimum 30 characters, recommended to include lowercase and uppercase letters and at least one special character) into the interface. Once confirmed, the decrypted text will appear on the nearby screen. The interface will then return to a blank screen.
Any attempts to forcibly access the data encrypted by SCPA-EN-00295-1 fails with no success. SCPA-EN-00295-1 is not able to remember the password they used to access the encrypted data, and any attempts to make SCPA-EN-00295-1 remember the password resulted in failure. The password seems to be generated randomly and changed every reset of SCPA-EN-00295.
Additional Information:
Analysis of SCPA-EN-00295 shows that its encryption method is beyond current human capability, and it is speculated to be of alien origin. SCPA-EN-00295-1 also shows an inexplicable ability to memorize complex passwords, with SCPA-EN-00295's password being the only exception. SCPA-EN-00295-1 remembers the password for SCPA-EN-00295 after waking up in front of SCPA-EN-00295 without any prior recollection of it. Surveillance cameras and digital recording devices around SCPA-EN-00295 are known to malfunction, but this is currently believed to be coincidental.

Notice:
Any attempts to access SCPA-EN-00295's encrypted data should be pre-approved and supervised by at least one Level 3 personnel. SCPA-EN-00295-1 must undergo regular psychological examination to ensure they are not compromised, and their identity must be protected at all times.
