Special Containment Procedures:
SCPA-EN-00246 is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment chamber in Site-██. The chamber must be completely devoid of light, and monitored by thermographic imaging equipment. Lighting fixtures are to be checked daily, and film footage reviewed weekly, for signs of SCPA-EN-00246 activity.

SCPA personnel assigned to SCPA-EN-00246's containment unit are required to undergo regular ophthalmological examinations to ensure the continued functionality of their eyes, and must wear infrared goggles when entering SCPA-EN-00246's containment chamber.

Any SCPA personnel found to be experiencing sudden, unexplainable blindness, halos, flashes of light, or increased sensitivity to light, are to be quarantined and observed.

Description:
SCPA-EN-00246 appears to be a sentient shadow, and can "move" along any surface with a light intensity of less than 0.04-lux in almost total silence or complete silence.

SCPA-EN-00246 has been observed to change shape and size, but typically appears as a human-like figure, approximately 2 meters in height, and 65-70 kilograms in weight.

SCPA-EN-00246 has exhibited a number of anomalous properties, including the ability to detach from surfaces and manifest outside of its containment chamber. It has also demonstrated the ability to merge with ordinary shadows, enabling it to move more freely from place to place.

SCPA-EN-00246 has been observed to attack individuals when it is exposed to light; however, it is unclear at this time whether SCPA-EN-00246 is actively hostile or simply reacting to perceived threats to its existence.

Additional Information:
SCPA-EN-00246 is most active during the nighttime hours when the lights are out. It has exhibited a preference for areas with high concentrations of life activity and shadows cast by the human body.

SCPA-EN-00246 is known to reproduce through a binary fission-like process, replicating its own form through expulsion of mass.
