Special Containment Procedures:
SCPA-EN-00311 is to be contained in a soundproof chamber measuring 5m x 5m x 5m, contained within a larger containment chamber. The inner soundproof chamber is to be lit with dim red light, as SCPA-EN-00311 is sensitive to light. Life support is to be provided via an airlock system. At all times, at least two armed guards are to be stationed outside both the inner and outer containment chamber.

Any personnel entering SCPA-EN-00311's containment chamber must wear noise-cancelling headphones, as SCPA-EN-00311 emits a high-pitched hissing noise which has been known to induce insanity in those who hear it for too long.

In the event that SCPA-EN-00311 breaches containment, all personnel are to evacuate the facility and the chamber door is to be sealed shut until MTF personnel can eliminate the threat.

Description:
SCPA-EN-00311 is a large, shadowy mass with the ability to move quickly and silently through any environment. It is capable of camouflaging itself in darkness, making detection and containment difficult. SCPA-EN-00311's most notable feature is the hissing sound it emits, which has been known to cause insanity in those who hear it for too long. SCPA-EN-00311 is also capable of inducing hallucinations in its victims, often causing them to see shadowy figures or hear the hissing noise even when it is not present.

SCPA-EN-00311 was initially recovered from an abandoned scientific research facility in Northern Canada, where it had caused the death of all personnel inside the facility. Its origins and motivations are unknown, as attempts to communicate with SCPA-EN-00311 have proven fruitless.

Additional Information:
While SCPA-EN-00311 is otherwise silent and shows no signs of sentience or intelligence, it has demonstrated a deep aversion to bright light, which causes it to recoil and attempt to flee.

SCPA-EN-00311 has been shown to be highly resistant to conventional weapons and is only vulnerable to high-intensity light sources. Additional research into this weakness is ongoing.
