SCPA-EN-00140 is to be kept in a standard humanoid containment cell with no windows. The walls, ceiling, and floor of the cell should be made of a special material that effectively blocks out any source of light. In addition, the cell should be equipped with no less than five motion-sensitive alarms to detect if SCPA-EN-00140 is attempting to conceal itself in the shadows. Description:
SCPA-EN-00140 is a humanoid entity standing at 1.5 meters tall with a thin frame. Its skin is pure black and appears to be a void where all light is absorbed. SCPA-EN-00140 can manipulate shadows by stretching, thickening, or straight-up generating them. SCPA-EN-00140 has only been observed being able to control its own shadow and any direct shadows cast by a light source.
SCPA-EN-00140 has been known to be hostile and agitated when the containment cell is illuminated. The entity will try to create and expand shadows to cover itself, and any personnel or objects in its surroundings, to remain unseen. In addition, SCPA-EN-00140 shows signs of being able to hear and feel movement through vibrations sensed in the shadows, allowing it to detect individuals even if it is unable to see them.

SCPA-EN-00140 appears to have originated in the shadows of a facility's maintenance room. Personnel have reported seeing indistinct shadows moving and shifting within the area. Over time, SCPA-EN-00140 has been gathering strength and appearing more frequently outside of the maintenance room.
