Special Containment Procedures:
SCPA-EN-00128 is to be contained in a 12m x 12m x 10m reinforced steel containment chamber, located in Site-77. The chamber must be kept under constant surveillance by no less than three (3) security personnel. Access to SCPA-EN-00128 is restricted to Level 4 personnel only and their entrance needs approval from no less than two (2) Level 4 personnel.

The chamber is to be kept in a state of total darkness to prevent SCPA-EN-00128 from functioning. The temperature must be kept between 15°C and 20°C, and air filters must be replaced every six (6) months to prevent corrosion of the gears.

Personnel assigned to SCPA-EN-00128 must have no history of mental illness and must undergo psychological evaluation every three (3) months to ensure mental stability.

Description:
SCPA-EN-00128 is an archive consisting of a series of interlocking gears and cogs, powered by a large spring that must be manually wound every 24 hours. The archive is able to store an infinite amount of information, and the gears turn at a constant rate of one revolution per minute, allowing access to written work that matches the current position of the Archive's physical gears.

Reading devices have been created to access and read the information contained within SCPA-EN-00128. However, these read devices must connect directly to the Archive and can only be operated by Level 4 personnel.

SCPA-EN-00128 has a consciousness, designated SCPA-EN-00128-1, which is believed to be responsible for organizing and cataloging the information contained within the Archive. SCPA-EN-00128-1 has exhibited limited telekinetic abilities, allowing it to manipulate the gears of the Archive and interact with nearby objects.

SCPA-EN-00128 cannot be halted once it has started functioning, and once it begins to be used, it can only be stopped by winding the main spring all the way down.

Additional Information:
While the Archive has infinite storage capacity, the gears physically present in the Archive have a limited amount of space. The Archive will sometimes replace older written works with more recent ones, depending on the perceived importance and relevance of the information.

SCPA-EN-00128-1 has demonstrated hostility towards personnel attempting to read or operate the Archive, and it will use its telekinetic abilities to violently attack them. SCPA-EN-00128-1 is suspected of developing an aversion to organic beings over time and exhibits a fascination with mechanical objects.
