Description:
SCPA-EN-00096 is a typewriter of unknown make and model, which produces a unique type of correspondence. Using SCPA-EN-00096 and a sheet of paper, one can type any message they want and SCPA-EN-00096 will produce a letter in return. The correspondence generated from SCPA-EN-00096 consists of typewritten letters and is signed by a sender identified only as "The Clockwork King".

The letters generated by SCPA-EN-00096 are often cryptic, and while they have not yet been found to be dangerous, they do possess the potential to contain some form of encoded or cognitohazardous information. For this reason, all letters received from SCPA-EN-00096 must be cataloged and stored in a secure file cabinet.

Additional Information:
The "Clockwork King" has yet to be identified, and no messages have been traced back to an originating location. While SCPA-EN-00096 appears to be a completely mechanical device, it reveals no discernible make or model, making its provenance a mystery.

SCPA-EN-00096 first came to the Foundation's attention after a string of disappearances of postal workers in a small rural town in West Virginia. The Foundation was able to intercept several letters sent from SCPA-EN-00096, and after analysis, we were able to determine the object's anomalous properties.
