SCPA-EN-00265 Report
Item #: SCPA-EN-00265
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCPA-EN-00265 is to be kept in a standard safe containment locker at Site-██ when not in use for testing or maintenance. Testing is not to be performed near flammable or combustible materials. Access to SCPA-EN-00265 is restricted to personnel with Level 2 clearance or higher, who have undergone training on proper handling procedures. Any instances of unauthorized use are to be reported immediately to Site Security.
Description:
SCPA-EN-00265 is a torch made of an unknown metal and emits a bright, white flame. The flame produced by SCPA-EN-00265 has shown to be impossible to extinguish through normal means, including submersion in water, smothering, and chemical extinguishers.
Additionally, SCPA-EN-00265 does not consume any fuel, and the flame produced is completely self-sustaining. Analysis of the torch has shown no signs of abnormal combustion or radiation output, and the source of the flame is currently unknown.
Additional Information:
SCPA-EN-00265 was recovered from an abandoned building in [REDACTED], where it was found burning continuously. The Foundation was contacted by local authorities due to concerns of the flame spreading and causing a fire. Foundation personnel were able to safely contain SCPA-EN-00265 and bring it into Foundation custody for further study.
Testing has shown that the flame produced by SCPA-EN-00265 does not produce heat or consume oxygen, despite being visually similar to normal fire. Long-term testing has shown that SCPA-EN-00265 is not affected by any environmental factors, including altitude, atmospheric composition, or temperature.
