Special Containment Procedures:
SCPA-EN-00334 is to be kept in a standard anomalous item locker at Site-19. Access to SCPA-EN-00334 is limited to Level 3 personnel with written permission from at least two Level 4 personnel. Any testing with SCPA-EN-00334 must be authorized by the Site Director and must take place within a chamber equipped with a chrono-wave dampening field. SCPA-EN-00334 is not to be activated for any reason unless approved by O5-██.

Description:
SCPA-EN-00334 is a small, handheld device that resembles a pocket watch. The device is predominantly silver in color with gold accents and bears the inscription "Chrono-Crypt" on its face. SCPA-EN-00334 has a series of buttons on its side for setting the date and time, as well as a switch on its underside that activates its anomalous properties.

When SCPA-EN-00334 is activated, it emits a pulse of chronal energy that causes time within a 10 meter radius to appear to freeze for all individuals and objects within it. The extent of this effect can be expanded or contracted by adjusting the switch on the underside of SCPA-EN-00334. The anomalous properties of SCPA-EN-00334 do not affect the individual holding the device, and it is possible for a person to move freely within the affected area.

Additional Information:
Testing with SCPA-EN-00334 has revealed that while time appears to be frozen, it is actually still progressing but at a significantly slower rate. This makes it difficult to determine the actual passage of time while SCPA-EN-00334 is active. It has also been noted that prolonged exposure to the device can have adverse effects on an individual's mental and physical state, including disorientation, hallucinations, and loss of consciousness. The exact cause of these effects is not currently understood.
