Description:
SCPA-EN-00222 is a standard mirror with a wooden frame, measuring 50 cm in height and 30 cm in width. Inspection of the mirror’s surface has revealed no significant abnormalities. On one side of the frame, there is a note that reads “Enjoy the Show”.
When a human subject stands in front of SCPA-EN-00222 and looks into the mirror, the reflection will appear to smile and laugh uncontrollably. The reflected subject’s mouth begins to move quickly as if they're laughing hysterically, yet no sound is heard. The effect is seemingly instant, and will not discontinue until the subject stops observing their reflection. All individuals who have observed the reflection of SCPA-EN-00222 have expressed feeling an unnerving sensation as a result of this effect.
The reflection produced by SCPA-EN-00222 does not appear to be sentient, but rather an altered, mimicked version of the human or object placed in front of it. During tests, subjects have reported feeling threatened by or connected to the reflection depending on their relationship with the object or individual being reflected. SCPA-EN-00222 has been shown to affect even the reflection of abstract entities or inanimate objects, assuming it can reflect in the normal way in the mirror.
