Special Containment Procedures:
SCPA-EN-00342 must be contained within a 10x10 meter steel cell with no light sources. The aperture of the door shall only be open for the purposes of feeding, cleansing, or any other critical needs. The cell must be monitored around the clock by security personnel equipped with night vision goggles, and the door must be put under a constant electromagnetic lock. No light sources within a 20-meter radius of SCPA-EN-00342 are permitted, and all staff must be trained to work in complete darkness or with low light conditions. Additionally, prior to the transfer of SCPA-EN-00342 to a new facility, all light bulbs must be replaced with red ones.

Description:
The SCPA-EN-00342 is a quasi-humanoid entity which is kept in constant darkness to prevent the manifestation of its powers. SCPA-EN-00342's true form is unknown under normal conditions. When light is shone upon the entity, the shadows it casts and the environment surrouding it appear to be absorbed, collecting them and seemingly adding them to its form. The more light present in SCPA-EN-00342's area of influence, the stronger the entity becomes. SCPA-EN-00342 also has the ability to move shadowy tendrils of varying length and strength, which it uses to ensnare and consume its prey.

Additional Information:
It has been found that there is no limit to the amount of light SCPA-EN-00342 can consume, and that, to date, no method of destroying or neutralising the entity has been successfully devised.

Notice:
In case of a containment breach or an alarm trigger, under no circumstances should the lights be turned on. Instead, personnel must move to the adjacent control room and switch on the infrared light beams in the cell. The darkness within the cell shall immobilize SCPA-EN-00342 while infrared beams will allow for locating and subduing the entity.
