SCPA-EN-00022 Report

Special Containment Procedures:
SCPA-EN-00022 is to be contained in a standard humanoid containment unit at Site-███. The containment unit must be equipped with an AM-FM radio and provide both temperature and humidity control. The radio must be set to a classical radio station from a random city in the Southwestern United States. This station's advertising practices must not disrupt the usual playlist or timer of the station, and the program must run 24/7 in the background.

SCPA-EN-00022 is to be monitored at all times by at least three security personnel, who must monitor the containment unit and be equipped with noise-cancelling headphones. Any distorted, dissonant, or atypical sounds must be immediately reported to the Site management.

SCPA-EN-00022's containment must be isolated from any other SCPA or systems that could tamper with radio frequency or signal.

Description:
SCPA-EN-00022 is a set of 26 identical humanoid automatons. The automaton's skeleton consists of clockwork mechanisms that support a metallic endoskeleton, which is in turn covered by an epidermal layer made from a beryllium-copper alloy. The automata have the approximate physical appearance of adolescent males.

SCPA-EN-00022's anomalous properties lie in the sound it produces. Each automaton generates a vocalization that, when combined, produces complex algorithms in the form of a choir produced continuously, 24/7. The effect of the choir can be felt by individuals who listen to it, providing a euphoric sensation with no apparent adverse side effects. The choir has been known to have a significant calming effect on individuals exposed to it.

The choir produced by SCPA-EN-00022 also has an unusual property. Its compositions are similar to Western plainsong-style hymns from the 15th to the 16th century. Each composition varies slightly in tonality and harmony, but it has been determined that the choir maintains a precise harmo-metric system, even accentuating the appropriate notes in previous compositions. SCPA-EN-00022 appears to have learned and updated its harmonics based on external sources.

SCPA-EN-00022's origin is unknown. The investigation into SCPA-EN-00022's original location led to the discovery of its existence in the southwest of the United States.

SCPA-EN-00022's internal biologic form contains no known biological factors, and all vital signs are nonexistent. SCPA-EN-00022 requires no food, water, sleep, or oxygen to survive.

The SCPA-EN-00022 system develops audio signals that allow it to understand other audio signals and provides an audio output.

SCPA-EN-00022 produces extreme heat, which it uses to create complex sound patterns. SCPA-EN-00022's heat levels can raise its surrounding temperature up to 200 degrees Celsius.

SCPA-EN-00022 was recovered from a remote church mission where it was originally stored in its clockwork form for an unknown time. The church archives contain eyewitness accounts that record occasional religious experiences being reported by church members. Upon the initial examination of SCPA-EN-00022 by Foundation personnel, a small group of members was found in a religious state of mind.

The choir generated by SCPA-EN-00022 has not been recorded thus far, as the choir is restricted. Only authorized personnel who are under the supervision of Foundation security are permitted to experience it.
